The Accreditation Council is the accrediting body of the GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation Program, and the council determines the status of all GBAC STAR™ facilities. LHW has partnered with Global Bio risk Advisory Council (GBAC) to offer STAR™ accreditation for member hotels. This initiative – administered by GBAC, a Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association – will serve as the gold standard for facilities to implement cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention protocols.
GBAC STAR™ is a performance-based online accreditation program that helps facilities establish a comprehensive system for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention. As the cleaning industry’s only outbreak preparation, response and recovery accreditation, GBAC STAR™ provides third-party validation that facilities meet a higher level of cleanliness and safety.To achieve GBAC STAR™ accreditation, facilities must demonstrate compliance with the program’s 20 elements regarding documented work systems, protocols, and procedures.
