We are delighted to welcome you home to The Lowell, and if it is your first stay, we strive to become your new ‘home away from home’. During these unprecedented times our team will make every effort to make you feel safe and at ease while you are residing with us in New York City.

The health and safety of our guests, employees, and vendors is our top priority. We have been diligently preparing to welcome you back by implementing enhanced health, safety and cleanliness measures for your well-being and comfort. We are guided throughout this journey by the recommendations of the CDC as well as the office of the Governor of New York.

In addition, The Lowell is complying with Leading Hotels of the World's Healthy Stays initiative. The Healthy Stays commitment provides expert medical guidance, gold standard cleanliness accreditation and enhanced hygiene standards.

The Lowell has successfully obtained the GBACSTAR® Certification. GBAC, or Global Biorisk Advisory Council, is a Division ofISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association that serves as the goldstandard for facilities to implement cleaning, disinfection and infectiousdisease prevention protocols. GBAC STAR is a performance-based accreditationprogram and is the cleaning industry’s only outbreak preparation, response andrecovery accreditation. 

Our dedicated and caring team is fully committed to provide the highest GBAC Star safety and sanitation standards in theindustry and to provide a secure environment for our guests, employees andvisitors alike.

All guests receive a non-invasive temperature check upon arrival. Plexiglass sneeze guards have been installed at the Front Desk, and each guest receives a Safety Welcome Kit which contains one disposable face mask, 1 set of disposable gloves and hand sanitizer. We ask all guests to practice the following at all times: Maintain 6-feet of distance between other individuals, wear a mask in all public spaces of the hotel, and maintain only 2 persons per elevator ride unless the individuals are in the same party.

We have implemented an after-hours door-bell next to the main hotel door for additional security. Our team will show you where this is located for your convenience.

We have increased the cleaning frequency of the Front Desk, Concierge Desk, Bell Desk and Lobby andall public spaces, including elevators with a heightened focus on contact surfaces including, but not limited to, door handles, touch surfaces, handrails, elevator buttons and bathroom surfaces, public bathrooms. 

Hands sanitizers on“hands-free” stands are positioned for guests, patrons, visitors and staff throughout the facilities including dispensers in guest elevators. 

A maximum total guestroom occupancy of 40% will be observed in order to limit the number of people in the building.

Rooms are sanitized with EPA approved disinfectants and are then left empty for at least 24 hours before the next guest checks in.All printed materials have been removed from guest rooms.
Once daily housekeeping is offered. Turndown service has been suspended.
Mini Bar is replenished before each stay and will only be replenished during a stay by request.

Majorelle is available for dinner, Monday – Saturday, 5-10PM with a Prix Fixe menu.

Jacques Bar is available for dinner, Monday – Saturday, 5-10PM with an a la carte menu. La Terrasse (outdoor) is available weather permitting.

In-Room Breakfast is delivered daily by Café Bilboquet.

In-room lunch & dinner is available from the Majorelle at Home menu, Monday–Saturday, 1–10pm.The Club Room is open with no food and beverage service.

Our gym is by appointment only and is limited to 1 person (or party) plus a trainer at a time. Please reserve your preferred time with the Front Desk.

The Lowell and all its dining facilities are compliant with New York City’s Department of Health Guidelines. We have also implemented additional protocolsto ensure the most safe and comfortable dining experience. Please see theattached document for a detailed list.

We take great pride in supporting each other in achieving and maintaining the GBACSTAR® Certification to ensure our guests’ and colleagues’ safety each and everytime. Each team member is committed to the tasks and to deliver the very best with sanitation and disinfection standards without compromise. All hotel employees have been trained to minimize physical contact (i.e. handshakes),wear a mask at all times, and respect physical distancing guidelines. Remindersigns have been posted throughout the Back of the House to maintain heightened awareness and remind everyone to wash their hands at least 20 seconds with handsanitizer. All employees and suppliers are scanned for temperature. Anyone witha temperature of 100.4 or higher is not allowedto enter the building.
