MENU

Specializes in steaks, chops, and seafood. Appetizers include Maryland Crab Cakes, Crisp Fried Calamari, and Cornmeal Fried Oysters. Beef entrees include Sirloin Steak, Stolen Cajun Rib Steak, Prime Rib, Filet Mignon, and Sliced Steak. Among other entrees featured on the menu are Grilled Chicken Breast with Cous Cous, Lobster Broiled or Steamed, and Rack of Baby Lamb.

Home-Baked desserts and a spectacular gingerbread house each holiday season.

Blackboard specials are featured daily.

Extensive wine list with emphasis on California Wineries whose wines are available exclusively at The Post House, as well as a library of rare wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, and California.

DECOR

The dining room past a long bar flanked by glass wine cases, is a polished and roomy place, with parquet floors, commodious tables and leather armchairs. Two-tone geometric tiles top wooden wainscotting to set the color scheme, a combination of tan and burnt sienna. Everything from 18th century American folk portraits to d'art brut of Jean Dubuffet is on display. Massive floral arrangements add a dramatic touch, as does the brass mailbox used as a base for the maitre d' desk.

CAPACITY

135 on one floor. Dining room divided into several eating areas, including one raised area seating about forty which can also be used as a semi-private dining area.

SERVING

Luncheon and Dinner, reservations requested.

HOURS

Open seven days a week for dinner: 5:00 to 11:00 Sunday through Thursday, 5:30 to midnight Friday and Saturday. Open for lunch: noon to 5:00, weekdays; closed for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
