The Lowell Loves: Shopping with the NYCB, Blossoming Lapels, and Alice Aycock on Park Avenue
ART: American Sculptor Alice Aycock has turned the Upper East Side into an art gallery with her whirling and powerful installation “Park Avenue Paper Chase” stretching between 52nd and 66th streets. The works represent the artists interpretation of “the metaphorical visual residue of the energy of New York City.”
SHOP: Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the New York City Ballet and shop with company dancers including Megan Fairchild, Sara Mearns, Antonio Carmena, Alina Dronova, and Claire Kretzschmar during a weeklong event, On Your Toes on Madison Avenue, March 15 – 22.
FASHION: Corsages make their comeback at the houses of Fendi, Dries van Noten, and Céline as they celebrate the lapel flower in their A/W14 designs. Phoebe Philo stating “I very much wanted women in men’s clothing, but it was a complex idea so we bought it back to quite a feminine silhouette.”
